A great Vaisakhi event at Leicester Museums today with great weather and a great turnout.
Falcons Primary School started the day off with a Vaisakhi performance which drew great applause from visitors. This was followed by animations on Maharajah Ranjit Singh and the Kohinoor diamond being shown by Harinder Singh.
This was followed by a great Gatka performance by Shaheedi Bunga, which mesmerized everyone who was in attendance. Then a lecture was undertaken by Kartar Singh on the meaning of Vaisakhi. The day ended with a Shastar Darshan and explanation of Sikh Weaponry by Baljinder Singh (Shaheedi Bunga).

Throughout the day there was major engagement with our @Sikhmuseum touchscreen and Virtual Reality set up that kept younger audiences entertained and educated. There was stalls by Harinder Singh and there was great artwork on display from our “Sikh Contemporary artists” including Khaas Arts attending in person. Arts and crafts activities were popular throughout the day.
A great day which helped in the education of Sikhs to Sikh and non Sikh audiences. Thanks to @Leicester Museum and Galleries.
